The advancement of biometric technologies has opened new possibilities for secure and reliable online voting systems Facial recognition in particular offers a userfriendly and nonintrusive method of voter authentication minimizing the risks of impersonation and fraudulent voting This paper presents an online voting system based on facial recognition using the Fisherfaces algorithm The Fisherfaces approach derived from Linear Discriminant Analysis LDA enhances recognition accuracy by focusing on the most discriminative facial features while reducing variations due to lighting expression and pose The proposed system architecture integrates image acquisition feature extraction and classification modules to verify voter identity efficiently Once authenticated the voter is granted access to a secure online voting interface ensuring privacy transparency and integrity of the electoral process Experimental analysis demonstrates that Fisherfaces provide higher recognition accuracy and faster processing compared to traditional Eigenfacesbased systems The study concludes that implementing Fisherfaces in online voting enhances security and trust making it a viable solution for future egovernance applications
